Hi. I'm Ārash.

I am a photographer, writer, and the host of Burner Podcast, which the longest running show of it's kind in the global Burning Man community and ranked in the top 5% of podcasts worldwide.My writing genre can best be described as 'philosophical memoir', wherein I use personal experiences as vehicles for discussing bigger ideas.

For the past five years I've been working on two books. One of them is currently in my editor's hands and will be available to be in your hands by November of this year.It is entitled Yesterday I Was Clever (an accidental memoir). It is a selection of writings about art, identity, and the Iranian-American experience, which can be read as separate essays or linearly.

I've shot for multiple California public agencies and institutions and people all over the world have seen my tourism photos of San Diego Bay.Working mostly in the photographic genre of 'documentary portraiture', my natural instinct is to find the epic within the intimate, capturing passionate individuals as they navigate spaces and systems which have meaning to them.
